Morris Marina Car

The Morris Marina was launched by British Leyland in 1971 and was available in a range of models to suit varying tastes and pockets, just like the cortina. The customer could choose from 1.3 to 1.8 litre engines and 2-door coupe and 4-door saloon body styles.

There were Deluxe and Super Deluxe variants. The range was topped by a fast and powerful twin carburetor available in both body styles. The “TC” had the 1.8 litre engine from the MGB. By all accounts though, it did not have the sports car’s handling.

The Morris Marina embodied to a certain extent, the style of the early 70s. The boxy, minimalist look of car such as the Ford Crotina Mk 2 had been modified and given a new more colourful, even more fun feel.

The car was popular in Europe with families and undemanding buyers despite its heavy criticism from the media. Marina production lasted almost a decade and during that time no less than 800,000 units were sold in Britain, though it was less popular on the export market.

Antiques House

Hi... I haven't got time yet to take a picture of all the coins and paper money I've collected. Thanks to my friends who are very kind to give me all the coins after their trips to overseas. However, this is not my collection. I got this picture from ebay actually.
